July 28, 20178 yr QUOTE (KnightsOnMintSt @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 03:16 PM) Interesting night for arms. Really interested to see how Clarkin does. Same here. I remember drooling over his curve ball a few years ago before he was injured. Watch out for this kid if the Sox can keep him healthy.
July 28, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) I bet WSalem gets rained out You were right
July 28, 20178 yr Rutherford out again, nobody knows what his condition is? Nobody knew thr last couple of threads
July 29, 20178 yr Not one HR in that Kanny lineup and yet seven runs have crossed the plate. That's run manufacturing baby.
July 29, 20178 yr Fantastic pitching night for Hickman. I also didn't realize Eddy Alvarez got promoted. Edited July 29, 20178 yr by SoxAce
July 29, 20178 yr Burger's hit tool has been quite impressive. I know I mentioned this before, but he also reaches a ton on errors. Makes me wonder if he's hitting the ball hard at fielders.
July 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 07:56 PM) Burger you stud. Could we all be sleeping on this guy? It is easy to get lost in all the hype we have in the minors and he has been hitting everything in sight. He is probably too advanced for his level but I really hope he just keeps mashing.
July 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (BFirebird @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 11:14 PM) Could we all be sleeping on this guy? It is easy to get lost in all the hype we have in the minors and he has been hitting everything in sight. He is probably too advanced for his level but I really hope he just keeps mashing. The problem with college bats, especially high 1st round with defensive concerns, is that they are expected to mash until AA in their 2nd year just to hold place. Burger might still be really good and almost MLB ready with his bat, but we're not going to know it until this time next year. And if he's a 3B or a LF/1B with that bat is another issue. That said, it's certainly better than the alternative, not hitting.
July 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 10:15 PM) Did something happen to Tito? By far the most frustrating part of following the affiliates closely is players constantly disappearing with no info. It's like following the Bears.
July 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2017 -> 07:00 PM) Jake Peter is crushing it in AAA I like his chances as a super sub. I'd like to see the Sox move him around more though. More than half of the games in his career have been at 2B.
July 29, 20178 yr With Alvarez moving to AAA, I am surprised they didn't move Flete up to AA to play 2B. Kid looks ready for it.
