October 28, 20178 yr This is bulls***. Gurriel made the jester and comment during this series so he should serve the suspension during this series. Manfred is an idiot.
October 28, 20178 yr Definitely some bargaining happened with the MLBPA. Personally, I think a fine would have been a just penalty, but these aren’t the old days. If has to be a suspension, then it should have been just tonight and move on. Anyway, I hope he goes 0-4 tonight, and the Dodgers tie it up.
October 28, 20178 yr Really hope this lights a fire in the Dodgers club house to whoop Houston's ass and that Darvish gets a chance to redeem himself in this series. Really impressed with how Darvish handled this. Edited October 29, 20178 yr by BlackSox13
October 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 28, 2017 -> 03:51 PM) Really hope this lights a fire in the Dodgers club house to whoop Houston's ass and that Dervish gets a chance to redeem himself in this series. Really impressed with how Dervish handled this. +1
October 29, 20178 yr QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 28, 2017 -> 07:06 PM) +1 You could pointed out my misspelling of Darvish. Didn't catch spell check correcting it. In the dictionary now though.
October 29, 20178 yr Pretty impressive work by the Astros pitching coaches with Charlie Morton. He was OK in Piitsburgh but he really has upped his strikeouts too.
October 29, 20178 yr With as much momentum as Huston has had since the 8th inning of game 2... they really haven't been dominant. The Dodgers can still turn the tides.
October 29, 20178 yr That sucks for Alex Wood. Pitched so well, but leaves trailing. And had he given up a single earlier in the game, he might have been pulled after 5 anyway.
October 29, 20178 yr It's impressive how far the Astros have gotten with their closer pitching so bad the entire playoffs. That's why Peacock finished the game yesterday, what can Hinch do?
October 29, 20178 yr That being said, he is still the guy who got them here so you can't abandoned him.
October 29, 20178 yr Looks like the Dodgers got to Giles in the 9th for the 6-2 win. Should be Keuchel vs Kershaw Sunday.
October 29, 20178 yr Why do managers change so much in the postseason? Closers that have never worked more than an inning get 2 innings. I'd think it'd drive the stat geeks in the front office insane if managers are making moves they have no data on. It's happened for years like when starters are brought in late in important WS games. I'd think you'd want to do what you did during the marathon regular season ALWAYS in the post season for consistency sake.
October 29, 20178 yr Any thoughts on tonight's game? This will be the second time the Dodgers will see Keuchel but he will be at home home where he's incredibly tough.

There is some guy named Clayton pitching for the Dodgers too, as we mentioned before, yet another chance to reverse his poor postseason reputation and clinch a spot in the HOF

I'm wondering how the Dodgers will fair against Keuchel. Usually teams do better against a pitcher when they see him for a second time within a week but Keuchel will be pitching at home where he's tough to beat.

I hear ya, the Dodgers bats may have awaken in the 9th inning last night. I just think Kershaw is the biggest story given everything in his history.
October 30, 20178 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 05:51 PM) I hear ya, the Dodgers bats may have awaken in the 9th inning last night. Kershaw has been nasty so far and I think the difference is he's healthy and the Dodger pitching depth allows Kershaw to pitch on regular rest. Man, I really hope the Dodgers can get to Keuchel so Kershaw can get 7 solid innings to take some pressure off the Dodger pen.
October 30, 20178 yr I expect Dodgers to win this one, Stros to win game 6, then pandemonium for game 7.
