You seem to think you know a lot more about the business of professional baseball than you actually know.

If thats the case then we are in agreement . I understood it fully and I stand by my support of the post.

  • Based on your recent posts, I would say this is accurate.

Roach or Covey could be up Sat to pitch.

I'm thinkin it'll be Covey or House.

Wildcard Jordan Stephens

I’ll guess Roach. He’s on pace to start Saturday and he’s throwing more strikes.

Is he out of options?  Wouldn't they need to expose him him to waivers to send him back down?

Not sure, but maybe they keep him for the pen or they’re comfortable not caring that much if he gets claimed.

I suspect we'll see Covey or Danish before Roach.  Or, like you said, perhaps they keep Roach and send Infante back down.

If he is called up for a double header, I don't believe the waiver rules apply.

Yep, that is correct.  Minor brain lapse.

From the Athletic, Jim Bowden on Basabe:

Luis Alexander Basabe, CF, Chicago White Sox
Age: 21
Winston Salem, Carolina League
.339/.443/.627, 2 HR, 12 RBIs

Basabe was part of the Chris Sale blockbuster trade with the Red Sox in December, 2016. He is a 4-tool player coming into the season with the only question being his “hit” tool.  However, it looks like the bat is starting to arrive, as he’s off to an incredible start in A ball and if he keeps this up, he’ll be flying up prospect ranking boards because he can impact the game with his speed and glove.

Rick Hahn, White Sox GM: “He played most of 2017 with a meniscus injury that was repaired late in the season. Now completely healthy. Early on he has displayed the intriguing combination of power, speed and defensive ability that our scouts thought so highly of at the time of the deal”.

Very nice to see Basabe getting to what we hoped for last year.  I wonder if the injuries were more than was let on?

FWIW Covey is now listed on the milb site as the starter for charlotte tomorrow.

So it probably won't be him.

Roach listed for Sunday.

If those are correct, it'll probably be House for the sox on saturday. makes sense since he has mlb experience

CF Todd Cunningham arrives from Pitt. Don't know why.

Sox apparently called up Minaya yet again. It seems like he and Infante are like vampires, they keep rising up from the dead.

Anybody know if Stubhub prices go down as the date of the game gets closer?

Depends. If you're talking scout seats or something like that, probably not. Standard 100s section seats often do.

Santiago starting Sunday.

Covey back to AAA. Minaya stays.

Make me like Tim 10000x more. This has quickly become my #1 gripe in sports.

Such a fine line has been created with players emotions and how they show them. Celebrate too much and you are a show boater who doesn't respect the game. But show nothing like our old friend Cutler, and you also get judged for not caring or respecting the game.

Denver's gift to Chicago.
