Also helps how he has raised his power. If he can jump that up this year past this .150 plateau that would be interesting.

First 4 years ISO

.50

102

149

146

Last year of course he was able to finally get up to a more respectable obp too, so maybe that's more important.

Guys with power ranging from non existent to moderate (Yolmer, Leury, TA) seem to be benefiting from the juiced ball quite a bit.

Absolutely. Probably a main reason why sox have suddenly found depth. Their all power no contact guys now have even more power to be interesting (davidson), where their higher contact low power guys have enough power to play.

I mostly love how he is so good at picking it in a place that he can get a good throw off. He doesn't have a rocket arm but it plays well even at 3b because he is always in position to get it out.

He has the fundamentals down absolutely pat. I wish TA would field more like Yolmer. You never, ever see Yolmer off balance or trying to round off a ball. He is always fielding the ball right under the bill of his cap, in a straight line from his nose to his belly button to his butt to his knees. Exactly how they draw it up in infield drills for the kids.

Miguel Cabrera is one of the best hitters of his era and an unquestioned first ballot Hall of Famer. But to say he had a chance to be the greatest hitter of all-time is indefensible.

Hmmm the best four hitters in the last 50 years. Hawk says it like u better not dispute it. I dunno. Four players is not many and there have been a ton of good hitters/

Did Hawk forget about Mike Trout in his top 4 AL hitters in past 50 years? He named Manny, Miguel Cab, Albert Pujols (wasn't really AL, Hawk, come on now), and Frank Thomas. Lol

He also forgot about the best- Alex Rodriguez
