Small BvP sample sizes can be misleading. However, Machado is obviously great and Shields is Shields... so... probably onto something.

The road to the #1 pick becomes a lot easier if they start losing some of these games to Texas, Baltimore, and KC.

I've just never had it in me to root against my team so early into a season, in any sport. I tend to worry about that stuff more when it's really getting down to it.

I’ve always been the same way but check this out:  if we stack up the losses now we can root for more victories when Kopech n Eloy come up later!

He’ll likely have 2 XBH’s to end the game and make us look stupid, but I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing him get a day off tomorrow. Get Rondon a second straight start and give YM a day to clear his mind, similarly to Anderson today.
