Sox @ Indians, 5/29 Game Thread

I think Cleveland pounds him in the 3rd. He's just laying the 1st pitch fastball right in there to get ahead in the count. Maybe look for some 1st pitch swings from the Indians .

6 innings and no walks.  I know he got hit hard at points, but I can handle an outing like this versus what we had been seeing.

  • Rodon.  5 IP 3 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 8 SO (86 pitches)

Yolmer the league leader in triples !

Annnnd I'm not going into work now. Go Sox!

Has anyone like Fegan actually got an answer from anyone about Giolito and his stuff? Like where the 5 MPH off his FB went? Serious question.

I wish, just bizarre it continues to deteriorate without a known injury.

Back down into the 230’s for Moncada...

Palka think  dont be swinging at that high pitch they are pitching around you to set up a possible DP  you just let the pitcher back into the count.

2 outs already....force out with 1st and 3rd?

Giolito throws perfect curve and ump screws him

Shocked that 92 down the plate with no movement gets destroyed

So he starts off Lindor with a curve . I'll give him some credit. He's a battler , has an idea how to pitch  , he just doesn't have the command or stuff to use that knowledge yet.

That was on the 1st pitch right  ?Just as I said would happen.

Maybe we should just sign Brantley if we want to beat the Indians...?   Probably would be hurt all the time.

Giolito ERA up to 7.71.

Something he did well last year is pitch backwards. Slow stuff to get ahead, high fastballs to punch guys out. He has gotten away from that this year.

Yes, Omar wanted outside, Giolito missed down the middle

Yea he was very effective using the high fastball before.

Anderson has now passed Moncada in OPS.

He seems to have difficulty getting his CB called for strikes even when it is in the zone.

Thought Kopech was focusing mostly on changeup, Stone Pony?

Kevin Smith off the DL and in the Charlotte lineup tonight. Call him up!!!

Starting to think Lucas will pitch just well enough to not get sent down

Sox desperately need 2 new catchers

Pulling off the ball terribly. Doesn't look to have an ounce of confidence at the plate.

Yep can't keep Omar on roster especially given his catching ability.
