Shields looks horrible tonight.  Lucky to be down only 1!

I posed these two questions in a separate post, but I’ll ask them here as well:  why is Davidson sitting  when he finally started heating up in Texas, and why does Ricky continue to use Moncada in the leadoff spot when he leads the league in strikeouts?  Shouldn’t your leadoff hitter be someone who makes contact regularly.  Would rather see Yomer there.

1) Who knows? Rick makes some bad decisions sometimes.

2) One of the top organizational priorities right now is developing Moncada. He should be leading off every game to get as many PAs as possible. Idk why they drop him against LHP.

Nice contact by Yoan, right at Hamilton.

If he drops to the second spot it wouldn’t make much difference as far as at bats is concerned, and if the batter ahead of him gets on base as a leadoff hitter should, he would have a big hole on the right side of the infield.

Are you blaming him for someone else's error?  He's only given up 3 hits.  He's doing great.

Seems as if Roberts whole career so far is play a month miss 3 with injury.

Schebler apparently likes Shields stuff.

Shields gets a bit lucky throwing 2 4 seamers around 89 right down the middle to Votto and gets him to line out to right.

Didn't Robert and Jimenez only get put on the 7 day DL?

I've seen probably 95 percent of Abreu's at bats in the majors. This is the slowest his bat has looked to me.

Jimenez our for 2 weeks. Robert out 4-8 weeks

Hard to believe we are making a pitcher who had an ERA of about six coming into this game look like Cy Young
