White Sox at Reds

Recommended Posts

I know Shields is much maligned on this board (mostly for his cost), but after tonight's start, his ERA is barely above 4 and he's a guy a contender could count on to give them innings. Maybe (hopefully) the Sox can get something of value for him, even if it means eating the salary.

Is it though? Seems someone gets injured every week. As soon as we get to see progress from someone, regression happens. Has happened since spring training.

All I'm saying is it's frustrating.

Like I said, we've had great injury luck over the years. We're do. Eloy doesn't concern me at all. He could probably hold his own already. I think Robert's gonna be a really fast riser once he gets healthy, so that doesn't concern me much either. Hansen concerns me, but it's the nature of pitching.

There's been some major plusses this year too. Collins, Rutherford, Adolfo and Cease have all taken big steps. I'm not a believer in Burger, so I don't really care about that.

This is just how rebuilding goes. Some guys fail and some guys surprise you.

Great at bat by Avi. I wish you all would give me one good reason he should not anchor our WS teams. Geez louise you guys frustrate greg. It's not like he's old.

Eloy, Robert, Rutherford, Adolfo, Gonzalez, Walker, free agency in two years, etc.

He may very well be a player who stays around, but there are packages out there that would make it worth trading him.
