I’m surprised JR allowed Rondon to wear #44. Wasn’t that on the track to be retired for Toby Hall?

I bet the Astros were upset that they took Bregman when they had Correa and Altuve

Always fun when you’re putting your kids to bed, open up the box score, and can say “yup, there’s another Moncada strikeout to start a game”.

  • What beard are you looking at? lol. Gattis is a tobacco chewing Texan.  That's a f*cking grizzly man - "I live in the woods" and kill my own food for dinner beard. You can't tell by that farm bod

I think it would be Madrigal at 3B, honestly. It's not common that the already established player moves for the prospect. In this hypothetical, it's 2020 and Moncada has established himself defensively. Don't think it's too far-fetched.

Doesn't have the arm strength I'd bet. Plus I'd bet on Moncada's athleticism to translate better there.

Have yourself a game Palka.

That's true. My argument against moving Yoan has been that his range is best suited at 2B, but Madrigal probably has similar or better range.

One scenario where all three pan out (I also believe that Anderson has already "panned out" if he finishes this season well) involves turning one of them- probably Madrigal- into Zobrist and just get him 148 games a year, divided between LF/SS/2B/DH/RF/3B.

I feel like Yoan would be better in CF. Not sure his hands are soft enough to play 3rd.

I hate this lineup construction. Palka is a pretty boom or bust guy who doesn't walk, I wouldn't want him any higher than 6th or 7th. Yolmer should be in the lower third. Anderson should be in the upper third. Lots you can/should change.

For whatever it's worth, Keith Law thinks Yoan could hold his own at 3rd with enough reps.

Nope, Tim should be batting last where he belongs ?

What the hell happened to Marwin Gonzalez? A bunch of below average hitting years, then that .907 OPS 2017, and now back to his pre-2017 ways. Pretty drastic deviation.

God forbid our best player get more than 3 PAs per game, lol

The OF would make better use of Yoan’s tools IMO, but he does have the ability to be an elite defensive 2B.

Soria's gonna blow this so that he doesn't get traded

Isn't this the part in the movie where the defense or bullpen loses the game?

At this point I’d consider escaping the inning in a tie as a positive outcome.

At least Engel threw it to the correct base this time

This is what championship teams do. Lets hope our guys take notes for the future.

Pitch selection is terrible. Why are you throwing an inside slider to a righty

Welp, Soria is broke again.

Cue the sky is falling post from Greg in 3...2...1... go!

I wish Omar could hit when Kevan Smith isn't on the roster. Kind of diminishes his value that he can't.

Do you even pay attention?  Omar hits when Smith is not.

Is Cooper EVER going to “fix” anyone ever again? I know greg thought Soria was, but he’s a closer who throws 92 mph. It was only a matter of time.

Omar didn't start hitting until Smith came along. Probably a coincidence but plenty of us noticed it.

I will say LF.
