Does anyone know when Medeiros is scheduled for his first start with Birmingham?

Looks like Tuesday. Today and tomorrow will be fun to follow...today is Cease and tomorrow is Medeiros (going to butcher his name a million times) as well as Kopech. Of course the Jimenez watch is in full swing right now as well.

I’d like to get Greg and Dick Allen’s reaction to this trade, but I’m guessing they’re too busy eating crow. #internetdoesnotforget

  • I've been calling him Kodi.

I've been reading it Med-ee-air-ohs. That might be wrong, though.

I was under the impression it was Muh-deer-os.

Definitely going Med Dare Ohss until I'm corrected.

I've been calling him Kodi.

Thigh strain doesn't seem like a huge deal but yeah as a rental Brewers have a pretty tight window to get value out of him

Well, even if Kodi doesn't develop into anything, seeing Soria get injured gives me flashbacks of Jesse Crain's injury and how that stopped Arietta to the Sox.

Well he does have that option on him, though I would think $9m would be too much for an older RP for a small market team.

I've read it's mutual though not a team option.

The White Sox also received $3 million in cash considerations, according to various reports. That total helps offset salaries for the left-handed Avilan, who is arbitration-eligible after earning $1.5 million in 2017, and the right-handed Soria, who has $9 million left on a three-year, $25 million deal with a $10 million mutual option for '19.

Yeah those always usually never get agreed to. I could see a 34-year old Soria potentially agreeing to his end.
