Yup, because 23 year olds certainly can’t get better...

Moncada is going to go 3-4 today.

I doubt it vs Carrasco. He's been nasty lately.

Hawk under the weather.

Time for the Covey starting experiment to end it seems.

Just make Covey the closer.  He's complete garbage as a starter.  He's starting to creep up on last year's ERA.

It was a fun run, Dylan

Methinks it's time to call up Kopech and move Covey

Why not just a middle reliever to start?

Totally fine with that

Well Dylan, we’ll always have late May/early June.

Sox have 3 guys in lineup with an OPS over     .703 on August 12th.  I didn't know it's still the dead ball era

Palka is basically Schwarber without the walks.

Covey needs to keep that ball at the knees or below. He was throwing it high against the Yankees last Sunday, and I presume he's doing it today as well.

Yeah everything high. Wonder if that injury still bothering him

Covey sucks. More velocity, and it doesn't matter.

every sinker is up in the zone.  Thankfully with Covey, we have too much pitching in the organization.

I think they can find a use for him. As a piece. Bullpen arm something

I think he just sucks. Had a nice little run a while back, but he gets lit up a lot.

Whether you think he should be moved to the pen or not, I hope we can agree that Covey should not start another game for us this season. Plenty of guys in AAA who should get a shot. Any of Kopech/Stephens/Adams/Guerrero.

Moncada screwed again on a walk.

yep, no reason to waste more innings on someone that shouldn't be in the future plans as a starter.
