Ok that makes sense. You're following Montgomery because of Iowa St. I take it then

Yes. I also know him pretty well. Exemplary young man. Awesome person.

Trubisky is still mediocre.  It’s going to be extremely frustrating watching this defense look good only to watch them struggle to get into field goal position with Trubisky throwing 10 yard passes and trying to scramble for first downs.  And a rookie kicker trying to make field goals.

His numbers from last year actually were pretty solid, but tonight he looks positively terrible. Rodgers just diced the Bears Defense, now it's time for Mitch to step it up. Defense can't expect to shutout a player like Rodgers.

Lol...please don’t poison the NFL thread with your negativity.  It’s been one fucking quarter in the first game after a pre-season where he barely played and you’ve already got the hot takes out...

Okay, this all starters don't take a snap thing in the preseason needs to be a one and done thing.  They look like they havent taken a snap in the preseason.  The offense looks rusty.

Sorry but this no snaps for Mitch in pre season is a mistake. This we practice hard not cutting it sorry Nagy!

What would you have said if Mitch tore up his knee in the preseason and was on IR?  That's the other side of the coin.

I thought the same last season.  A Pop Warner quality offense wont win a Super Bowl in today’s NFL.

Because that happens to NFL QBs all the time in the preseason.

A Pop Warner quality offense?  Are you fucking serious right?  Did you even watch this team last year?  The offense was good even if Mitch wasn’t great.

And this “I thought the same last season” shit is absolute garbage when you say he’s mediocre after one fucking quarter.  Good god man you are one miserable person.

Important players get hurt in the preseason all of the time. QBs are not immune.

Risking losing a game to a division rival over a one in a thousand possibility is stupid IMO.

There’s what should be INT #2 of the night.

Important players get hurt in game 1 as well.  Maybe we can put him in a bubble and break him out for action in week 16.

Don’t contain your excitement and definitely ignore the lack of prep he got during the preseason!

The odds are much higher than that. You're probably off by a factor of 10. Do you remember how Grossman broke his leg in 2005?

Yes. But this game matters and the others don't.

Here's a hot take: Trubiski isn't that great and never will be

It's hot AND correct!

How many QBs tear up their knee over the course of a season?

Rodgers didn't take a snap in preseason either that's just a lame excuse for the same ol Trubiski

You’re right, which is why it helps not being rusty as fuck.

Interesting, isn’t it?

Nothing would make you happier other than the Filibuster being brought back...
