Castellanos was a good acquisition, but it looks like it isn't going to mean much.

Quintana trade? Bad

Darvish? Bad

Brandon Morrow? Bad

Chatwood? Bad

The Russell sitch? Bad

Heyward? Still meh, still making a ton of money.

Add the Justin Wilson trade to that list (Paredes looks great as a prospect for Detroit).

Dreaded leadoff walk to Bryant after Molina didn’t hang on to the fouled strike 3.

Kimbrel is toast

Baez trying to be Kirk Gibson

This is some WCW shit

The problem is Theo doesn’t like to keep young stars around like the astros doing or what the Sox trying to do

The Carlos Martinez thrill ride has been a lot on my blood pressure the last few days. He gave Baez three good pitches to hit.

I can just taste the Cubs fans’ tears.  That was amazing.

Gotta give the Cards credit. NOBODY had them doing anything this season. Talk all offseason and year was about the Cubs and Brewers battling it out for the division.

@soxfan49. Can't remember the poster who argued with him about that, but he was right on the money. I gave him credit. :D

His peripherals fell quite a bit last year and got even worse this year. His 30th birthday really took a toll on his arm.

Saw where some MLB writer speculated Theo might leave also

Almost all of the damage against Kimbrel has been on the fastball. He might as well become Marmol-esque and throw a ton of curves

That’s not really the case because the Cards and Brewers have their weaknesses and FA losses coming up.

Cubs have no choice but to be all-in at least one last time with the new network asking for $4-6 extra per month to all cable subscribers...

yeah true but who would they get to replace theo if he leaves?

Kimbrel has allowed 9 homers. I could be wrong but that seems like an exponential amount for 1) a closer in general and 2) for a closer who's only been pitching for a few months.
