Who broke Cease?

Not a great start from Cease so far. Just gave up a homer. 

First inning Cease was getting dinked and doinked around. Chip shot into the OF, infield single, and some horrible OF defense from Preston Tucker. The homer though, can't fault that one.

Now a throwing error on a bunt scores a walk from first base.

I’m at the game right now. Cease has gotten some incredibly bad bounces so far.

Cease just picked off the runner at first.

They guy was due for a bad outing.  Welcome to professional baseball.

I think Bryce Bush is starting to figure it out. 

First time really watching him.  He looks super cool and calm out there.  Almost cavalier but you can tell he’s focused.  It’s just his style

My guy Pilkington outstanding once again. 

Dickman making a great case for a callup in the near future.

Now? no idea. I saw him in college hit 89-92 regularly though.

I was impressed but what I saw from Cease. Cranked it up to 99mph multiple times and had some crazy off-speed stuff. Most of the hits off of him were chip shots, shallow into the outfield where guys weren’t because of big shifts.

I still think of Mendick like Tyler Saladino though I don't know if he has the versatility for 3b.

I don't know that he will ever have that high of an OBP but seems to tap into consistent, moderate power, fundamentally sound player.

Though I couldn't say that it offers much more than what we get out of Rondon. He also seems quite streaky.

Yeah I see Mendick as Saladino. Saadino probably had more fielding talent but Mendick a little more pop, I think.

Evan Marshall next in line in Charlotte?  I know he's not on the 40 man, but hes' yet to give up a run.  Looks like it could be bit of good luck, however.
