Hell of a play by Timmy to score from 1st on that single.

Because it is 0-2 and pitchers usually waste at least one pitch. You're baseball stupid if you don't understand that. Just b****ing for the sake of b****ing

every beat writer is saying it's a 2 run homer

Well they're wrong.

The guy who passes a base runner is out.

McCann gets the green light, Yoan doesn't :)

I won't keep beating the dead horse with that one so.. will rely on others to do so. ;)

Moncada is WR fast at 6-2, and yet Ricky won't let him steal bags. I smell wage suppression. Can't let him get 30-30, he'll get mucho dinero in arbitration /unclejerry

You shouldn't be able to pass the base runner in front of you. I'm not sure why that's a question.

I'd actually blame Abreu more than Anderson there. Abreu has the play and everything in front of him - including Tim.

They really are crediting the catcher with an unassisted putout. The fact that the play defies the scorebook is a good sign the rule behind it is stupid

It's cool. I wanted extras anyways.

Nice hanger

I'm sick of losing to Detroit.  We better win this game.

Bullpen couldn't shut it down

Me too, as long as you can promise Timmy or Yoan don't get hurt

Tim was in a very inopportune spot. He should have been at least halfway to second. I feel it's for sure Tim's fault.

The question is why any of it matters when the ball has gone over the fence. I'm sure Abreu had no idea it mattered as long as they crossed home in the right order

Exactly. The fact that so many people have criticized Timmy is amazing to me. Not a lot of baseball smarts here.

The exception is for the home run I imagine - because the ball is dead. If that was a fly ball that was dropped for example, both runners would return to their respective bases.

It's not really a stupid rule - unless you think they should make an exception for a home run. They already allow the runners to score though.

Anyone have an update on Eloy?

I'm not convinced the Tigers aren't stealing signs or something.

Sprained ankle, no broken bones, will get MRI tomorrow as part of standard procedure

Would be so White Sox to lose cause of that dumb shit.

I was actually thinking that.  There's been a few times they looked like they knew an offspeed pitch was coming with 2 strikes.

where did you see the MRI part

Well I guess that's good news.

When are they gonna move him to first....that bat needs to be in the lineup not on the IL from stupid injuries
