How come this game got called? In Kansas we have had the major downpours for 30 minutes, but then it clears out for a few hours. What happened in Chicago to not wait it out?

  • It's because you act like such a dick when you say it.  That's why it's funny to shove it back in your face.

  • Funny considering you said he was dead to rice for changing it.

Did the rain stop? That's unacceptable if it was cause of field conditions in the year 2019.

Are you an expert on rain and field conditions?

The umps kept the grounds crew off the field for 10-15 minutes more than normal because the game was so close to being official. Those 10 minutes happened to be torrential downpour, so there was significant puddles before the tarp was ever able to be put on.

They are facing a lefty.  I have no doubt he'll be hitting cleanup again tomorrow.

Or maybe the reason Alonso was hitting 6th was that maybe Renteria finally wised up and realized that maybe a .180 hitter should not be batting cleanup, that maybe another spot in the order would take some of the pressure off of him and would let him relax a little.

They waited three hours and it was still raining. You take the rain shortened win and don't even give the Jays a chance in the final four innings. Works perfectly fine for me.

The Rain Gods are on our side. Don't complain.
