I agree with Jason here. It wasn't intentional but this is what you do to yourself when you play beanball.

Yoan's swing looks so effortless.

Moncada hits homer #10 to opposite field.  Looking very good!

Love that dugout shot of Moncada and Eloy. The future right there.

I bet we get our first home Eloy HR tonight.

Oh Yonder with the warning track power

How many times has it appeared that Yonder has crushed the ball only for it to be a 370 foot out?

i still maintain there is something detrimental to the way that ballpark faces and left handed power hitters that pull

I think it's more of a there's been a problem with the left handed "power" hitters the Sox have brought in.  Moncada doesn't seem to have much of a problem pulling it out to RF.

he's going to get rocked if he's pitching with one pitch.  we've seen this over and over and over.

That being said, the Sox decision to not sign either Harper or Machado looks pretty wise at this point.

 Harper: .232/.449/.807 111 wRC+

Machado: .266/.439/.788 110 wRC+

Is that worth $300M?

 For reference:

 Moncada: .278/.478/.811 117 wRC+

Abreu: .255/.505/.812 112 wRC+

But 111 is better than what we've gotten from RF, and 110 is better than what we've gotten from Yolmer. Plus Machado is a defense-first player whose defense has been elite. I still believe he outperforms that AAV.

That won't be the last HR Moncada hits tonight.

I'm about done with Lopez as a starter.  It's a rebuild year but I'm not seeing any future here.

Damn. Reylo almost killed a dude.

It's so frustrating. Especially after watching a Gio start. He has no idea where the ball is going.

Yep, every start he has no fucking command and no secondary pitches.

story of the decade.

Yeah...I guess we never really had one since Jim Thome.

Good lord he misses every spot by a foot or more.

Lopez has a good heater and nothing else.

So sick of his fastball tailing right down the plate.

Future closer?

He's got nothing.

No command at all
