Collins swing reminds me a lot of Josh Hamilton and Brian McCann.

I'm shocked he protected with 2 strikes

Hopefully he continues to do more of that.

Other than HBP, I was prepared to say "first of many" about whatever he did

Welp, time to go to work and get shit talked in an hour ?

A split at Wrigley, I take it.

It seems like we can do well against the best of teams, but always fall apart. We can't get a good streak going.

Just thought of this, but why in the living hell is whether or not a ball hit a player in/out of the batter's box not reviewable?  It's not a judgment call like balls/strikes.

No Cub fan said anything at work today, and I didn't say nothing to them about our win yesterday. Wanna bet they run their mouths tomorrow! I'll report and let you all know.

No need, as I’m confident they’ll acquire someone better than Puig.  But hell, I’m fine with Puig in RF on the cheap if they want to add Cole and a couple other impact free agents.

Also, what’s your payroll prediction for next year?  $80M?

Re-sign Abreu, sign Puig, Wood/Wheeler, and some relievers.  Possibly extend McCann.

They will go more quantity over less players of quality as is their MO.  Tier 2 and 3 free agents.  They will also attempt to extend more of their young players and use this as an excuse for not spending more money.  Hahn has already used this excuse so don’t get mad at me.

Leadoff double and then only 3 guys end up hitting that inning.  How often does that happen?

We just continue to play dumb baseball.

Dropped pop ups, bad OF routes, Interferance, getting hit running out of the box, caught stealing 3B with no outs.

Just so much dumbness.  And by the sound of it people are still comfortable in their jobs.

We play like the .480 team we are (so far).

puig has been hot garbage this year. Why do we want him?

Sox will need a RF, they have been interested in Puig in the past, and he won’t cost as much as Ozuna.

I like the idea of Conforto much better.

Okay, what are you trading for him?

That’s like an $80M payroll which is less than this year.

Wellington Castillo, Yolmer Sanchez, and Yonder Alonso ?

He probably wants to trade Fulmer and all the filthy sinners living near Halsted and Roscoe for him

POTY.

That’s where my last sentence comes into play.  Hahn will mention needing to keep money available to potentially extend their homegrown players.

Gio had to lose sometime I guess. Oh well, they got the split, now 3-3 in this stretch of 15 tough games. That's OK with me right now.

Bad game fundamentals-wise though. Very bad.

You all attack me because I believe same sex marriage and homosexuality is a sin.  You preach tolerance but you are the most intolerant of all.

Time to get a look at Mendick.

Head to the Wrigley troughs. They're unavoidable.

You seriously can’t believe this nonsense right?  This is all just an act?  Because no one could possibly believe the guy who said “the money will be spent” and that we “unprecedented economic flexibility” is going to turn around 12 months later when we have a cheap and controllable promising young core in place and pull a complete 180.  I get being skeptical of landing a whale, but this is just irrational thought.

Cub fans are already trolling, saying Gio sucks, etc.

Sorry bro, but tolerating hatred is not an acceptable form of tolerance.
