The issue with all throws from the OF is accuracy. Most of the time, the throw is inaccurate regardless of the distance. I don't care if he's in short right field. If that is a little off line he's safe, which is my point.

No point in him going to third. We still needed a single to score him at second d or third. The outfielder was shallow making it an easier play. The young pitcher may be rattled having two men on so let him pitch out of it. 

 If you're on 3rd a wild pitch you can score. Yeah I agree still terrible base running though.

Watch the replay again. 3B could've caught it by his left side and he still would've been out. He was dead as rice.
