Arent we about due for a guy coming out of nowhere and being an impact guy?

Everyone gets em and it's been a while for us. Maybe he made an adjustment - all his numbers support his outcomes. He's old but not that old. Plenty of guys in the past two decades have figured it out at 25 and 26.

Odds are he sucks but theres a chance he's a legit talent with the bat and catchability.

I'm not buying him being able to catch one bit. The hit and power tools might play though. If there is a year to find out, it's this one.

Wonder if they are using the juiced ball in the Futures game.

I need Yermin in the Sox DH spot yesterday. Kid can just hit, gotta respect it

Sheets a 950 OPS his last 90 ab's. In that park that's great.

Trade piece if he can keep this up.

Looking at what Mercedes has done since moving up to AAA gets me real excited for what Robert will do there.

Rutherford doesn't hit for enough power and can't play CF. I'd still probably go:

1. Luis Robert

2. Steele Walker

3. Luis Alexander Basabe

4. Micker Adolfo.

Then Rutherford and Gonzalez.

It's the Sheets and Rutherford show lately.

Rutherfked will really benefit from a juiced baseball.

That's not really a skill.

Agreed and exactly how I ranked them as well.

That’s fan-fucking-tastic.  His development over the past month or so has been astonishing and he’s a legit top 10 guy in the system for me right now.

for me its

1. Luis Robert

2. Steele Walker

3. Rutherford

4. Basabe

5. Gonzalez

6. Adolfo

Given the lack of left-handing hitting, we just may need him to DH and backup Vaughn at 1B.

Why him more than anyone else?

Eh.. this is an outlier season for Basabe. He has been relatively healthy throughout his career. Now Adolfo on the other hand, I completely agree. I believe he's only played one season where he hasn't missed significant time in 6 years. I don't usually put the injury prone label on players/prospects but... gotta call a spade a spade.

Its not a skill but it has relevance.

Futures game beginning now on MLB Network and free stream on MLB.com

It helps guys more with less power than it does guys with more power. A guy like rutherford might get a grade bump with it.

The juiced ball gives the 12 HR guy 20 but it doesn't bump the 30hr guy to 38. The ball might even be worse this year so we'll see at eoy if that changes.
