He always had the plate discipline and raw power you’d like to see out of a 1B prospect, it was just the in-game power holding him back. If he’s figured that out, he most definitely can be a key piece for us going forward.

All he needed was the power, I was skeptical, especially for the Barons, but he has been great the last 2 months or so.

Sheets keeps this up, he gets dealt in the offseason. Him and Walker + another OFer isn't a bad package. Under the assumption that they are going to keep Abreu, there's no room for Sheets. Vaughn isn't far behind him so 1B/DH is Vaughn/Abreu.

If the right offer doesn't come up for him, I'm fine keeping him for depth in case an injury happens to Abreu or Vaughn. He probably makes it before Vaughn if he goes to Charlotte this year.

It was chest high and he leaned out of the way, but it got his jersey solidly.
