  • Detwiler doesn't bother me like he does some of you.  If we used an opener he would be pretty good I believe.  Lefty who throws strikes works for me in a limited role.

  • Man you have low expectations

  • I believe the meaningful proof is his career but hey, you go ahead and ignore that just like you are ignoring that he couldn't get through the order once successfully

I'm confused...which team took a red eye to get to this game today?

Wait why are they playing a day game?

They need to add bullpen pieces in the offseason if they want to compete next year

Lmao so bad, Ricky is the master of the bullpen

time to bust out the champagne, guys

Playing Field of Dreams after the game for the 10 people left at the park

I wish Bill Walton had done this game since I missed the broadcast.

Congratulations to those of you are still here.  I don't agree with all of the opinions you express...but it takes a good fan to watch a complete game like this.

The Sox can't play the Detroit Tigers every day.

Ya think?  They used 4 pitchers today:  all 4 now have an ERA of between 5.02 and 5.63.

Edit:  the good news---Bummer (who some feel will have his arm fall off from overuse) now has had 3 straight days off.

Floodgates have opened for Oakland

Alot of us knew this was going to happen. They play the A's, Astros, Angels and Twins this next stretch.... good luck boys.

Awful game outside of Tim.  Stadium was decently filled for a 2:00 game on a Friday.

Watching the post screening. Sun directly on the screen. Cant even see the movie lol

PTL I was busy at work trading widgets for pesos.

Team not ready to play yet again

Seems we have zero chance whenever we face even a remotely quality pitcher.  The hitters get outsmarted every time.

Next year with Robert, Madrigal, and Moncada in the lineup... and some outside help from people like Yasmani Grandal and Joc Pederson...we will look a little more stellar offensively.

Truth.  Even accounting for growing pains we should be better than most teams’ lineups.   Not all, but probably most.

The Oakland team was at Wrigley hence red line.

I pity anybody who went to that game. It's what you'd expect though. A good team beating the bleep out of a bad team. We really have some bad baseball players to go with a few good ones. Sox are going to have to spend a lot of cash on the free agent market for suitable depth and suitable pitching.

Good luck, Rick. We need it.

They should at least give the fans free popcorn and peanuts after enduring that horrific baseball game. Or show Halloween after Field of Dreams. Horror.

Ha thanks...well they must have been well rested by the look of the score.

Sorry I've been doing a good job of ignoring the Cubbies lately so I have no idea who they are playing meaning I  didn't get the red line joke earlier today.

When was the last time the Sox were not owned by Oakland.  They did face good pitcher today.
