McCann's interaction with Walton right now is gold.

  • This is an awful point.  It wasn't more enjoyable than Hawk and Stone, it was a one time novelty.  If that happened for 162 game season people would want to murder Walton by game 3

A genius that deserves an extension.  But it is easy with Usain Bolt on 3rd.

Walton is by nature someone that is going to be loved or hated.   I found myself laughing more than I can remember watching a televised game. Would I want that all year? of course not.

Hilarious how McCann is answering all of Walton’s ridiculous questions immediately and with a straight face.

Yes, indeed.  Like a student answering a teacher’s questions.

I wouldn't even be mad.

A Will Farrell Bill Walton broadcast would be a must see

It's a bit

Bill Walton interviewing James McCann is one of the best things ever

NBC Sports playing the sign off music mid-Walton monologue with while McCann nervously laughs, answers a question, and Walton swings a bat is comedy gold.

That was a disaster. F ck Walton

It’s a planned schtick.  He’s clowning him on purpose.  You can’t be this clueless.

Was literally thinking this.

That sh1t is never going to happen again.

After listening to a couple innings of Bill Walton I was going to make a joke but the more he went on the more I think he needs some help. Seriously. Either rehab or a mental institution or some medication. Hes losing it/lost it.

Much of what he does is schtick , It's his act .

It will tomorrow with Cousin Mose from The Office.

Schur is going to be awesome. Not only is he just a great dude but hes a huge baseball fan and into analytics

All I can picture right now is a depressed look on Steve Stone’s face with R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” song playing in the background.

So would anyone listen to Ben by himself?  When I heard that he was I changed broadcasts.

Well this is the first time I've heard Bill Walton in my life, so, yes, I can be this clueless, asshat.

Uh... have you seen him call college basketball games? It's the exact same thing. This is not a one time deal. This is who he is every time he's ever had a mic or camera put on him.

I'm sure he was told "be yourself" and Benneti was told to "let him go"... but that's really all it takes. He's genuine with all of this "I'm a free spirit hippy" stuff.

I doubt he cares.  He doesn't need this.
