December 11, 20196 yr The one guy I find interesting is Guerrero in that write-up. But I'd imagine Sox don't take anyone.

He's older and an outfielder, but check out his AAA numbers. .331 avg, .450 OBP, 137 wRC+, 16.6 BB%, 9.9 K% Not much power, but he might get scooped up by a club looking for a fourth outfielder?
December 12, 20196 yr It seemed like in the last year teams really soured on the rule 5 and were turning against picking a guy unless they felt confident he could contribute, but I don't have a finger on how this would affect things with 26th man. Will teams be more likely to use it? Less?
December 12, 20196 yr I think the theory of trying to stash a guy on the big league roster then sending him back to the minors has proven to not work. Missing that year of development is just too much to overcome so teams are looking for guys who can at least contribute enough and stay on the big league roster going forward. Those guys are very rare to find. I think Victor Reyes is the only guy who has been somewhat worth the effort and that's even a stretch.
December 12, 20196 yr Hope they pick a reliever. Jose Rojas is tempting but dont see us stashing a position player in the ML roster.
December 12, 20196 yr anyone have a link to the video? Can't seem to find it - usually mlb.com has one.
