ESPN looking to remove Jessica Mendoza from Sunday Night Baseball

There is a god. Arod will be back and sounds like there could be a new pbp guy too

She’s terrible.  And in the future, ESPN, please do not add female softball players to broadcasts just to be PC.

I have no problem with a woman on the broadcasts; I just think she was bad in general.

Men certainly are bias against women announcers for unwarrented reasons - for example, everyone hates on Doris Burke and Doris is fine and she really understands the game and her knowledge is shown. Mendoza was just a players apologist who did this acting as a "friend" to players and not an analyst. She's also a moron who promoted cheating.

I hope ESPN decides to remove themselves from Sunday Night Baseball. It's still going to be a miserable broadcast.

Easily the best perk of being a fan of a team no one else gives a shit about.

How about remove them all because they all suck equally

Jon Miller and Joe Morgan were the best broadcast duo for Sunday night baseball.

I actually kind of like A-Rod.

Yes, please have only Ex-MLB women.

He is pretty dull to me.   Wouldn't care if they were all replaced

Exactly my point.  They don’t have to have a woman on their cast just to fill a quota.  But I guess if they feel they have to, there’s always Jennie Finch.

But I’m not so sure about canning Mendoza in relation to the cheating scandal.  They already have the biggest cheater on the crew, A-Roid afterall.

I guess I am out of touch since I have no clue who she is.  Of course that could be because I rarely have watched ESPN since over 30 years ago when I was in college and most of us would watch Sportscenter religiously.

ESPN has always sucked at covering Major League Baseball. Remember when they used to have the first round of the playoffs? Never forget the ridiculously biased broadcast that overrated clown Chris Berman performed in the Boston series against us in 2005. He's an admitted New Englander and his performance in broadcasting that series was disgustingly unprofessional in his favoritism for the Red Sox.  He actually even said "oh no," as Uribe's grounder went through Graffanino's legs!!

Why do you think so?

Because he constantly called the players by the wrong name

Awful Announcing used to have a field day with him

Yeah, you might have a point there, as I kind of remember that. I think he knew the game well though, even if he didn't always know the players.

Good she was horrid

How about Joe Buck and his comment, “how do these things happen” when we played the Astros in the World Series?

Yeah, good call. That one too. I guess all the national announcers were against us!

He was better than Mendoza and ARod!

A Rod and Mendoza were both trash.

I have no problem with a woman there but I think the double role with the mets is problematic as she is biased there. If she was just an advisor it might be ok, but as I understand she works there more like in a full time capacity.

absolutely. It was insane either side allowed that.
