it's crazy how many hitters the sox have now that can hit when the ball gets deep on them.  reminiscent of the kong and dye lineup.

Moncada saying he doesn't like batting leadoff and feels most comfortable in the #2 spot would be enough for me to lock him in at 2.

Did you notice the 3 , 4 and 5 hitters were Abreu, Grandal and Encarnacion ? Take the 1st letter of their last names in order of spot in the batting order and what does it spell ?  A- G -E

Yo beats out the throw from SS for an infield single.

Damn Bote

WOW.  Damnit i thought that got through.

TA liner down 3rd, gloved, and the throw beats him.  Nice play.

Fantastic play by Bote to rob Anderson of an RBI double at least.

I feel like the struggles will come against those Indians-esque pitchers with the dynamite sliders.

Which is to be expected. If you come in the league and instantly spit on those then you are even beyond Trout.

Gio goes 1IP, 0H, 1K, 1HBP.  Cishek in bottom 2.

That was the plan. They said he'd only get one inning in-game today, and then throw a few more in bullpen.

Good news. Didn't see it posted in the 1st inning, so I'd post it now.

The Cubs are lucky that we even agree to play them.

His first game no?  Most guys have only been going 1 inning first time out.

Ah ok.  Had not heard that he would only go 1.

I don’t care how he looks right now, but EE is my easy pick for Sox free agent signing that comes to Chicago and forgets how to play baseball.

That would be keeping with our DH expertise and evaluation.

Giolito went to the bullpen after his one inning. I’m sure they want him to be able to go 90+ pitches in 20 days.

Grandal just missed a dong

He smoked that ball. Holy crap. Too bad it was foul.

That's a huge strike zone

Lester's getting about 4 inches off the outside corner.

Is it worse to read Bruce Levine's writing on the Sox, or hear him blather on about the Cubs...?

It's Angel Hernandez, wtf do you expect? Good umpiring? LOL.
