There are a few posters I’ve seen on this board over the years I think would beat Jason on any kind of baseball exam (either practical or theoretical... how ever you want to assess baseball knowledge). There’s a reason he covers football and basketball games as well though: he has a good voice and character (and the skills needed) for effective play by play. I think him and Stone make a good team and I wish more sports would look beyond former players for effective announcers

I still miss farmer tho. My favorite announcer of all time

Unless you don't want to hear about the Catholic League, Notre Dame football or his relationship with Michael Milken...seriously, he was a good guy, will miss the camaraderie with DJ.    I'm sure he's happy not to have to talk about Mesothelioma or Plumbers and Pipefitters unions anymore, or the Village of Bedford Park.    Then there's always Alex and Ursula Snelius.

Eloy is a bad LF, but everyone already knew this.  How about Renteria allowing Gonzalez to face a lineup three times?!?! How about Renteria allowing Gonzalez to face a lineup three times wit

Really need to start seeing something out of Collins. If he can start to hit it really helps define the 2021-23 catcher setup for the team.

Collins is going to do something in his next at-bat.

as I said 2nd time through they will hit this guy.

Yeah cause that's a foreign substance

Icy Hot® products are manufactured in the U.S.A, with the exception of the patches, which are manufactured in Japan.

What an odd way to discuss this

Would love to see Marshall start the 5th, as Gio facing guys for 3rd time is scary

It wasn't a breeze the first two times

Your WHAT hurts?   Doesn't seem very likely, but the slider speed bat matches Lindbloom stuff better.

Rifled past Arcia for another hit by Abreu.   Thatssss'a nice in Paciorek voice.

his splitter does look like a circle change.

unlucky.

That ball was not fair

FUCK.  of course.

I just noticed that Narvaez keeps his right hand in front of him.....why would you ever do that as a catcher?

How many double plays have we hit into in last two nights?

I think that's 5.   Two tonight in back-to-back innings.

That is the home ump's call not first base since it was in front of the bag, correct?

Eloy all of a sudden in a slump

This team has no plate discipline outside of Moncada and Grandal.

That ball fielded down the line was BARELY foul, but almost impossible for the umpire to call it from that angle...was crossing the line exactly as he fielded it.

BAD LUCK.

yea I agree it happens so often when a sluggish 1B is holding a man on.

Moncada has no discipline to withhold the urge to give up a strike with the fake bunt, instead of getting ahead in counts and thus allowing for the drilling of center-cut fastballs.

7 strikeouts, 2 double plays....what was the other out tonight for the White Sox?

Edited by caulfield12

Hiura reminds me a lot of Gordon Beckham. Both can't hit high fastballs.

lol, wtf was that Jose?
