Great inning. He didn’t locate any of them perfectly but it was nice to see him throw three sliders in appropriate situations (and crashing low out of the zone is far preferable to hanging them). His fastball command was established early, and his movement and velo on it is where it needs to be if he’s gonna pitch like an ace.

Turnbull’s sinker to Tim looked great. Launch angle is so important to keep in mind when hitting against him. But then I guess he lost command against Moncada? I’ll take it
