What did they see in Mazara when they traded for him? Apparently a whole lot since they traded away the #6 prospect in the organization. What a bust!

He is. He just threw a coupe to Cruz that last AB. He's going to be mostly fastball/change. They'll mix in maybe 10% sliders.

Steele Walker was not the #6 prospect in the Sox organization.  In fact he probably was around our 6th best OF at the time.

I think that's the closest Nick has come to hitting a homer so far.

I realllllly want a 3rd catcher on this playoff roster but not seeing it. Can't have Dyson as the 4th OF. Mazara would natural one to leave off. Maybe Yolmer but don't see that happening either.

Right! The risk was definitely worth the reward.  It didn't work out.  Nothing really lost.
