September 17, 20205 yr Sox wanted another arm for the bullpen; imagine they'll be sending Ruiz back but down soon and Mendick will be back up but who knows
September 17, 20205 yr Author Mendick still has options so I suppose this makes sense when adding another arm. Can't say I love it though. Edited September 17, 20205 yr by SouthWallace

September 17, 20205 yr My god why on earth do we send Mendick down before Yolmer.. I wanted the Yolmer signing a month ago for depth.. Now, it is getting out of hand

This way they keep both instead of maybe one of them.

September 17, 20205 yr This is some major bullshit and has Ricky’s fingerprints all over it, all of because his love for his special little Yolmey. Granted Yolmer has some surprisingly nice hits for a change but his fully displayed that his arm is too weak for 3b. And it’s absolutely too weak to play SS. So now we have our main backup infielder who plays inferior defense at all positions to the guy they just sent down. All because he tickles Ricky and makes him laugh. I’m surprised Hahn and Kenny go along with this shit.

Clearly the right move was sending mendick down. You can all start apologizing now. Edited September 18, 20205 yr by ChiSox1917
September 18, 20205 yr The bullpen could get taxed with striever pitching today, Keuchel coming back from an injury and tbd on Sunday. They thought they needed an extra arm. That said Mendick has been a good solid player in a role hopefully he has the next 5 years. I hope it’s nothing more than that. He is a nice player.
