Ruiz and Gio just pitched back to back the highest leverage innings of the season.  Did I already post this?  You can only laugh to keep from crying.

  • This was the 13th game in a row. Guys are tired and there are no opportunities to catch a breather, let some soreness work itself out, or have a day to clear your head by not going to the ballpark.  I

What am i missing, why can't Robert get a day off? This is way past a slump right now.

Did they really think facing Bieber was going to get him out of the slump?

I'm not sure what is even wrong with Robert ar this point.

Bad combination of pulling off the ball with slider speed bat and no pitch recognition

Crochet warming for back to back appearances for the first time.

As you yourself acknowledged in the Pity party thread, we got five games left.  No point in a day off anymore, time to figure this shit out in game

Here is my problem with Robert. When he came up Benetti and Stone and everyone else said "don't groove a fastball." Including this slump, he really never hit any fastballs this year. He made a killing off of an occasional heater and mostly hangers. I'm a little concerned that he's going to continue to not hit fastballs. Relying on a hanger isn't a good plan

Ok, pull him.

September

Luis Robert: 6-67, 27 K's
Yoan Moncada: 10-63, 26 K's
James McCann: 6-33, 11 K's
Edwin Encarnacion: 9-55, 18 K's

Yes but give him either tonight or Friday off was what I’ve been hoping for.

Oh my lord.

When it rains

I fucking hate the shift.

This is ridiculous. No reason to push him this much.

Ugh that sucks so much

How about Grandal and Mazara

man, i don't know about this pitch count.

This is so dumb

Sox luck is awful

If Reyes jacks this ball, Ricky needs to walk home

And we’re just going to leave Giolito out there til he dies, apparently. There is a reason I’m OK with more losing, and it’s to get Renteria fired.

Well that was stupid.

Where’s your bullpen at Ricky??
