July 13, 20214 yr This would be a final big splash pick that is unlikely but seems like a similar guy to what Shirleys been looking at So in that what seems like other picks: - late riser based on regular high school season late looks - midwest - Athletic - Raw but good frame
July 13, 20214 yr There should be a lot more college guys coming off the board today but there are some interesting names still out there. Niko Kavadas, Glenn Albanese, Trent Wallace, Shawn Goosenberg, Austin Krob, Michael Trautwine. It will be interesting to see if teams held back enough money to keep guys like Jonathan Cannon, Isiah Thomas, Kamren James and Luca Tresh from going back to school.
July 13, 20214 yr Author I’d be surprised if he doesn’t stay in college to go to UT where he just transferred but Mizzou had a pitcher Seth Halverson (?) who was a super athletic position player that switched to mound and had big fastball. Could be a fun project.
July 13, 20214 yr Definitely wanna see a splashy HS pick go, Pierce Coppola would be nice...a 6'8" lefty from a NJ HS Cheap college kids who'll help make that possible: Luke Smith, L-Ville; Antonio Menendez, Wake Forest; Jake Mulholland, Oregon State

You only stack savings in the first 10 rounds. As long as the signings from here are on out are under $125k, they don't matter. Anything over that counts towards the bonus pool.

Didn't even realize that...Would still like these kids if our Sox are eying relievers that may move faster...add Steven Schoch from UVA to that list too

Could be a fun project. Selfishly I hope he ends up at Tennessee and fits right in as a weekend starter next year. But yeah, he seems to have great stuff. Just needs to harness his command, which is a big reason he ended up at UT - he said he liked their plan for him to do that.
July 13, 20214 yr The Sox not taking a HS player in round 11 is interesting. Wonder if they are going to go cheap on the draft?

July 13, 20214 yr 4 HS guys that round. Pretty soon they're going to start taking the guys who they know won't sign.
