I would much prefer a 2b, since we have Engel, Sheets and Vaughn to cover RF.

I want nothing to do with Sheets and Vaughn ever in RF

Do you think the Sox would have taken Hoffman if his arm didn't blow out? I remember thinking that at the time, but no one thought Rodon would fall to 3.

How else do you ever get them both in the lineup?

Kopech in a lather, before even throwing a pitch.

From all accounts, Hoffman was the one they loved

I know it's not ideal, but with Robert in CF and a pitching staff that strikes out ~27% of hitters, I think you can get away with Vaughn and Sheets playing a lot in RF next year.

Kiley McDaniel was all over that, and he seems to have great sources with the Sox. I agree.

Reds seem content just hitting lazy fly balls all game.

They’ll find a way if that’s what they want to go for.  I’m also not saying no to the idea of using Vaughn as a massive trade chip, but that’s just me

Man, I hate the Reds uniforms.  They look so trashy

Kopech looks like he’s throwing 110 mph

Yes I'm also more of a capitalist fan myself.

I'm glad you said that because I decided not to pile on him , he's been in a tough situation and handled it well. Sheets is just better for the team right now being LH.

The only start where he hasn't looked good was against the Tigers, but that was cause he couldn't throw strikes and Detroit didn't swing at any of his sliders.

He didn't throw many sliders comparatively.  You have to wonder if his elbow is bothering him.

If Leury is not starting at 2B next Thursday.....I'm pissed.

As much as I like the results from Rodon  I'm not going to think it means all that much. The day after being eliminated I think the Reds are out of it mentally too.

If everybody is healthy, I'm thinking something like Engel 2/3 in RF, Sheets 2/3 at DH, and Vaughn the other 1/3 at each.

Sounds like Jason will be doing the AL Wild Card game

That’s fine if they make a big addition at 2B.

Yeah this was basically their B lineup. No Votto or Castellanos. But I think this version of Carlos is still a way better option than Keuchel or Lopez as the 4th starter.
