Matt Brash has 3 walks in 1.2 innings so far against Houston. Turns out he's not as effective when our aggressive hitters aren't hitting against him.

Seems he had different thoughts...still won the game despite a massive walk total.

Interesting how the antivax players don't have an issue trusting medical experts when their elbows blow out or they pull a hammy.

  • Given that 10 out of 26 players didn’t get vaccinated, it really doesn’t seem like the “bullying culture” you suggest had any impact.  But that works both ways. Given what I posted earlier with t

Unless you're in the microscopic percentage of the population who is too immunocompromised to receive the vaccine, there is no "reward" for anyone not to get the shot. Anti vax talking points like thi

Kimbrel’s curve goes down instead of sweeping into lefties this year.  Looks closer to how he was on the Cubs instead of the Sox.

His fastball also got up to 97, but did sit mostly 95-96. It figures that the Dodgers would fix him. I doubt he would have ever really pitched well with us.

So changing his role is magically helping his curveball?

Goes along with extensions for McMahon, Marquez, Sanzatela and $180 million for Bryant...going in some sort of direction.  Rodgers in theory would be next.

They're actually off to a pretty decent start...and always draw well.  Mysterious franchise that never seems to be the sum of all those positive parts.

I'm not sure why you'd really want to give Freeland that much money. The guy has been mediocre at best outside of one season.

Cole gets pulled in the 2nd inning against the Tigers. He's been pretty bad to start the year.

They don't make movies like City Slickers anymore.

Does the score bug during Sox broadcasts show the batters name? I’m watching the Red Sox broadcast in MLB Network and 90% of the time I have no idea who’s hitting because the score bug doesn’t say it and they don’t have names on their jerseys.

It does, yeah. This doesn't have anything to do with your question, but in a lot of instances this year whoever is doing the graphics on Sox games has been wrong about who's batting in a given AB. But it does include the hitter who's batting and the pitcher (with their pitch count) listed at all times.

I saw someone suggesting that this was a failure of the Nationals to notify the Capitol Police, as if it was their responsibility to tell the Federal Government what another branch of the Federal Government had planned.
