Sox outdrew Cubs on their home openers

Holy crap. When was the last time this happened?

Time to move the Cubbies to Vegas....they can't survive here.

Huh, what's wrong on the North Side? Not tatas and beer season yet in the bleachers?

@ron883 be all like "don't worry real fans will show up later in the season when Suzuki is the NL ROY favorite and the White Sox are still batting Abreu 3rd"

Then Abreu will do that thing where he goes on a tear for like 2 months after Ron's annual "Abreu sucks" thread.

That still doesn't mean they can't bat 6th in April-May and then put him back at 3rd once the weather gets warm.

They currently claim to have 90,000 on the season ticket waiting list. Why don't they just sell 5,000 more season tickets and go back to selling out every game? Unless, of course, the waiting list doesn't really exist.

Their tickets are so expensive, some long timers have dropped out just because of that. It's possible the list is that long, but if it is, they are people who when it's their turn to buy will pass.

Yeah, it is easy to sit on a waiting list, but when they want that check from you, a lot of will disappear.

Gives a pretty good indication where the Twins, Tigers and Royals season ticket bases stand coming into the year.

And TB deserves so much praise for competing when they’re only drawing 7000-8500 per night.  It’s uncanny.

Then back to 6th during October. The guy simply sucks during cold weather months. Veteran privilege is one hell of a thing, though.

Their list is bullshit, I had friends get called 3 times this winter, there's no longer a wait.

As always it's a marketing battle to get the casual fan through the gate. Both teams have their regulars it's pulling from the folks that may go to a game, but just as easily may decide to hit a bar and sing karaoke.
