Featured Replies

People who dislike Benetti dont watch enough games of other teams broadcasters. Theres a reason hes getting so many national games, and its because hes a top 3 announcer in baseball.

  • I like that major broadcasters keep hiring Benetti to call games and some Sox fans are like "this guy sucks, take him away!" Benetti rocks. Happy for him that he gets more national exposure and g

  • I realize that I am in the minority here, but that whole Bill Walton shtick was cringeworthy....I muted it.

  • I don't understand the dislike of Jason Benetti.  He's excellent at calling games, and as someone else pointed out, he's even better working with someone other than Stone.  I like them together, but t

6th on this list…and still prefer him for basketball because he has less time to be corny as the action dictates pace of announcing.  He needs to start being a bit less deferential to partners if he wants to be a great one. Less like a junior partner and more confident that he’s the one they are tuning in to listen to.

I don't watch much basketball, but I love him on college football. Wish he'd take over for Mike Tirico on ND games when he moves to NFL games.

I think the idea behind these peacock broadcasts is interesting actually. Benetti is the unbiased play by play man (White Sox game excluded), then you have one announcer from each of the teams regular announcers. It's an interesting concept.

Sometimes during Baltimore vs. Nats series they will have the Nats’ PBP team with the O’s color man and vice-versa, or the regular crews alternate innings of the same game.

Was a great broadcast today, you could definitely tell they were cheering for the good Sox but it wasnt obnoxious.

We'll see this next Sunday....former Sox/Brave Andruw Jones and former Padre Mark Sweeney for Pads @ Braves.

Actually thought Youkilis was really good.   Understated at first, definitely not a broadcasting voice...but excellent sense of humor and perfectly-timed insights.

Much better than Stone and Benetti together, more balanced.
