  • Nailed it, idiot

  • Give it up for Johnny. 7 shutout innings of 2 hit ball.

  • Luckily Super Joe didn't choose to have Zavala get thrown out by a mile and kept the bases loaded for Robert to start the scoring.

So nice to see against a good pitcher

i'm not familiar with what our guys are doing at the plate. sort of seems like theres some sort of "approach"

Verlander is throwing almost everything away. Not even bothering to throw a pitch inside as a show me pitch.

Whooohooo, way to go White Sox!!!!

him being painfully slow might be part of it

I saw him trying to stretch a single into a double the other day (which he did, barely) and that was the first time I saw how slow that dude is. He was strugglin big time halfway to second.

Makes you really appreciate how well Abreu runs as a first baseman.

Ain't that the truth!!!

Damn. Would've been real nice to get that 5th run in.

I keep hoping that the White Sox turn it around and every time I think they are headed in the right direction, they throw in a stinker like last night. Perhaps Cuerto throws a masterpiece today and the team's bats are as hot as heck. That scenario seems unlikely with Verlander on the mound but anything can happen. Come on Chicago, get pissed about last's night performance and get things turned around asap. Some of us haven't given up on the team yet but dang it, it's getting harder to stay positive.

I know it's early in the game but it's looking darn good for the White Sox. Now just keep it going guys.

Too early to offer Cueto a contract for next year?

He’s been so solid. A guy that can eat innings with a sub 4 ERA is very valuable. It’s been a great signing so far.

Yes

Johnny at 33 pitches thru 3. If he'd like to go 8, that'd be just fine.

He usually stops being effective around the 7th inning, unfortunately.

Yes

No more in season extensions, period.

That said, would go with Kopech / Cueto / Cease for three playoff games in Houston.

Absolutely zero confidence in Lynn in Houston, would save Lucas for a home start and Lynn as well.

Cueto putting on a pitching clinic.  Mid 30’s range for pitch count (34).  Minimum through three.

Graveman probably quite excited to (hopefully) get the SVO.

Verlander might want to consider retirement

Might be their only true bargain contract on the entire roster, other than Vaughn, Cease and Kopech.  Mendick the way he’s going, and Burger (past tense).

Well, this might be the first game JV loses against the Sox since 2014.

On another note I hope the Sox continue to hit the opposite field the rest of the season.

Grandal, Eloy and Moncada should be taking notes...

That’s not tough to do when you’re with Kate Upton, but he prefers being the Tom Brady of MLB.  Hard to blame him.

3093 strikeouts ties him for 16th all-time with CC Sabathia.
