Amazing how Abreu just keeps sucking it up and playing thru pain.   That guy is built so much different, and probably more to do with heart than physically.  For a team full of grapes, it's

  • Abreu is also 7 or 8 years older than most of the core of this team. And yet, he somehow still plays through pain. I'm not sure if that's just the greatness of Jose or an indictment against the rest o

WHY CAN'T WE JUST BE NORMAL

They're really trying to jump on the first pitch against Kremer.

maybe sheets will dong tonight

HR prone, mediocre RH pitcher that struggles with lefties. I'm optimistic it will be a good night for Sheets.

our slow ass first base types have looked good

Jose is a pro's pro!

Wish Giolito could be so mediocre as to have a 2.20 ERA.

.... really? Kremer is 26 with a career ERA over 6.

But you can compare Giolito 2019-20 to today.  Which pitcher is he as of this week?

Also remember he mostly faced the AL East with a poor defense previously.

You're assuming our lefty hitters are at least major league average, though.

it would appear the book on our outfield is to take the extra base

He has like a 15% strikeout rate this year. Maybe Kremer will shut the Sox down, I don't know, but he's almost certainly still a very bad pitcher.

Our OF are not charging aggressively base hits.

Too many cumulative ouchies.

Mateo now on an 0/17 streak.

It's June and the team is already in August shape fitness wise.

Sheets changed his stance. He's standing more upright and not as open.

I wonder how many of the owners care more about player health with the abbreviated spring training than net profits?  Probably just 2-3.  That's being optimistic.

Ahhh, the middle infield pop up by Gavin Sheets.

Sheets still with the infield fly power!

Pretty sure Yermin Mercedes could do better...

Seby generates random outcomes

to give credit where it’s due, he was the worst hitter I have seen in a long time when he first came up. Now he is at least a guy who can run into one

We're about to get Sheets in the 5 Hole today huh. Probably McGuire Haseley & Leury at the bottom since TLR will say Lenyn "needs time to settle in after a long flight"

The usual TLR lack of sense of urgency.

Pitchers have zero fear of pitching in the heart of the plate vs Leury and Harrison
