Sox vs Minny 7/4/22 game thread Sweet Home Chicago, without Tony

If Pollock doesn't start hitting righties, finding someone to platoon with him should be high on the list of needs if this team is going to buy.

Pollock got fucked over on 2 calls that AB.

good lord. some terrible approaches given how he's pitching backwards.

Pollock can’t be playing against RHP

Pollock got absolutely HOSED in that at bat

This is an interesting strike zone. Bundy getting calls off outside corner and Cueto is not .....

Pollock vs RHP: .218/.264/.279 56 wRC+

Pollock vs LHP: .320/.333/640 177 wRC+

Jeffers has always impressed me defensively

It's funny cause it's never been that lopsided in his career. I guess once you come to the Sox you just struggle like the rest of the team.

I remember reading a few years ago he had great framing numbers in the minors. I've always been a fan of his too

I really hate Buxton and Arraez, both too good.

Cueto isn't fooling any of these Twins hitters. You just gotta hope they hit it into the ground at people.

Buxton putting up Mike Trout type HR and RBI numbers.

damn buxton missed a hanger. both pitchers really floating a lot of junk to say the least.

Why can't Cueto get that call for a strike?

That's 2 pitches Johnny hasn't got that Bundy did.

Curto hosed again on a perfect 1st pitch.

Smarter people than I will say you shouldn't look at ~80 games worth of splits, but man... he just looks completely overmatched against most RHP. A guy finally showing signs of aging 34 shouldn't be a surprise, I guess.

Arraez might be my favorite hitter to watch if he weren't on the Twins. The way he controls AB's without possessing any power whatsoever is remarkable.

nice sword.

there you go robert.

What an awful at bat by Leury

Garcia a terrible matchup with Bundy.

Always say he’s the hitter Madrigal was supposed to be

Bundy has thrown more changeups than fastball yet our hitters go up there looking fastball...
