That's because the chessmaster went for a closer who wasn't going to close and historically didn't do well in that role last year.  And then double down on being dumb.     Hahn needs to go.

  • They lost it in April when they got swept by the Guardians and Twins.  And a lot of the blame for that goes on Keuchel, TA, and La Russa.

19 left after today and they will be 5 out in the loss column.  They have to sweep the Guardians and that still might not be enough.  Large amount of people with this organization should be unemployed

3 strikeouts in his first 4 outs though. Seems like this is shaping up to be one of those 5 inning outings where he gives up very little contact.

Yeah, Dylan isn't long for this game, the control isn't there.

Yeah not at all.  Won’t last long at this rate.

He was sitting on the slider that whole at bat

Haha what range

50 pitches 1 2/3

Yay!

Fantastic

Pitch selection is infuriating. They’re sitting on offspeed stuff.

Feel like Andrus could have knocked that down even if he didn't have a play. Maybe not though

Offense better show up today

Graveman, Lambert and likely Lopez wont be used today after pitching the last two games. Lopez threw 8 pitches yesterday, so he may be available.

Leaves these six available:

RH: Liam, Kelly, Ruiz, Velasquez

LH: Bummer, Diekman

Would have been close

Not that it would matter but my lord Pollack, who taught you to field a ground ball in the outfield and make a throw.  Most OF are taught to line it up and drive your momentum through the ball.  You did some sort of fast foot sidestep of the ball and had zero momentum.  You can do a prep step and drive through the ball.

ok 56 pitches through 2.

I still think he finds a groove soon and gets through 5.

This is a Velasquez/Ruiz/Kelly game, I'm afraid.

Cleveland threatening in the 6th, tying runner on 3rd with 1 out.

Pitching change for the Angels.

and Cleveland threatening again..

And threw it way too high to be cut, on a play where he had no shot at home

And another

And another double play. Both on high pitches

Robert grimacing on every swing

This was something I always was taught.  Make sure you hit the cut so the trailer doesn't advance.

This is insane
