Just a question. Can plate discipline be taught? I wonder if good teams draft it, or can it be learned?

It's why Getz just can't be the next GM... that and 2017 and later Royals' ineptitude.

I wish you guys weren’t all so negative. Most sox fans I talk to are upbeat and positive about the team. Seems all the negative ones flock to a message board. Imagine that.

  • Selling the team is only hope

Yes very much so. Luis Robert has always struck me as a tad uncoachable. Complete lack of approach/adjustments throughout his career. And that is a complete hot take on my part.

No no no... should have stayed with Middleton.

Barely got him.

Shocked Vaughn didn't mess it up by stretching in the wrong direction... towards second.

Safe.

Tie.

One of the best defensive plays of Burgers career right there

Keep Burger.

I'm hoping for a '83 turnaround I know it won't happen. But it would be fun. Middleton and Santos at least decent in the pen lately

Burger just took Moncada's job.

Good defense that inning... although Tampa missed their replay window.

I feel you ain't wrong. Too much talent for his own good

In the central this year it doesn't take much to win it. They will hang around but are so uninspired.

Bat to ball skill is most important

Was that the Progressive Insurance "TV dad" guy breaking and krumping...popping and lockin'?

Worst game Burger has had against LHP today

Shades of much less talented Brian Anderson not ever adjusting...

I think his problem is recognizing spin. That’s not really something that can be taught.

Can you see this teaming even getting to .500 with this balanced schedule?  I have a hard time seeing them get there.

Signs of a team with everything going their way.

Wry smile.

Did Brian Anderson also have a 121 career wRC+ after his first 240 games? I'll go out on a limb and say no.
