This is just a pitiful display by the Sox hitters .But yeah keep leaving Burger out of the Lineup.

You draft the guy that's going to be the best player. For the last 50 years, the Sox firstbaseman has usually been their best player.

Robert has to find a way to have more competitive at bats

Not being as effective as they used to be doesn’t mean they’re mailing it in, dickhead.

Fine.  But there's a considerable difference watching Romy Burger Sheets right now compared with all the veterans.

They at least seem to enjoy the opportunity of being on that field.

Benintendi continues to give off Pollock vibes after leaving NY and Boston.

Grandal wouldn't have the worst $/WAR of players you personally have mentioned in this thread, let alone MLB history.

Really good swings this inning

Eloy hit that ball harrrrrddd

He mentioned Albert Pujols in his previous post lmao

Pathetic once again from Yoan. He never keeps his hands back on offspeed pitches these days.

The first ~10 games where it looked like Yoan might be able to ht again were nice

After Rafael Devers' $331 megadeal, what are the biggest contracts in Red Sox history?
  • 1B Adrian Gonzalez — 7 years, $154 million.
  • LF Manny Ramirez — 8 years, $160 million.
  • P David Price — 7 years, $217 million.
  • 3B Rafael Devers — 11 years, $331 million.
  • Rafael Devers, Red Sox: $331 million (2023-34)
Fine...but that's still not accurate.

He posts like a child, but he’s a grown man. It’s weird.

Spencer just awful in every aspect for Detroit

Still hasn’t homered since the first series

I'd love an FBI investigation into what happened to Yoan's LH swing

Worst fWAR for contracts they are currently on per contract dollar of the two biggest deals in franchise history...

Meanwhile, the best hitter on the team sits and watches.

I give the benefit of the doubt to Yoan. He could easily be on the IL with his back issue. He wants to play. I genuinely believe his body isn’t there.

Bench him and let him think about it, Burger should be in there anyway.

Because the topic was spending a high draft pick on a collegiate 1B.

Pujols is the best counter example of why doing that is stupid.

Pujols was not drafted until the 13th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft, when the St. Louis Cardinals selected him with the 402nd overall pick.

Deja vu all over again?

Robert twice in week misplays a single into an extra base hit.
