Why is it not equally disappointing when people assert they are totally certain that a player like Bonds was clean early in their career? Whataboutism is equally disappointing

July 16, 20232 yr Well from what In reading, the Cubs pick was more of a Happ type. At this point I prefer a more focused SS prospect. Although one can argue that a utility player is important in the Sox situational uncertainty condition.
July 16, 20232 yr Everyone signed except 7,11,12. I'm guessing Wolkow (7) was a situation where hey were clearing money with undersigns first, before handling him.

That's good, I didn't know what was going to happen with the LSU 2nd round pick due to his injury status. Hopefully the Sox will have a strong set of prospects emerging from the minor leagues in 26-27 to start the first legitimate competitive window since 2005-2008. Benintendi (sigh) and Robert will be the only contracts on the current roster still in effect.

Does the omission of picks 7, 11, & 12 mean it's over and we won't be signing them, or can those negotiations still be underway? I'm not sure how the signing period works.

I'm not sure how the signing period works. They are just the guys who are potentially overslot, but the signing period isn't over. They'll almost certainly sign, just need a day or 3 to sort the money part out.
