The Mariners have 2 eight game winning streaks this month. The Sox had 1 seven game winning streak during Rick Hahn's 11 seasons as a GM.

Watching Kopech pitch is worse than root canal.

He also gave up an infield hit after a challenge by the Seamen.

Just going through the motions, especially Robert

With Kirby's stuff and the Sox line up, MLB.com ought to send out the perfect game warning after 1 inning.

Hope it is a quick game for those braving the heat

Velocity is better, command is as awful as always

He’s one of the wildest pitchers nowadays I’ve seen in the majors.  Such a disappointment

Major disappointment. Awful trade.

Yep, rebuild crushing trade.  Instead of having two cornerstones, you have two players desperately needing a change of scenery

A good pitching coach would probably fix him.

Dodgers or Rays would make some sort of tweak and he'd be dominant. It ain't happening here.

Im sure the Dodgers and Rays would love for the Sox to give up on Kopech. Im sure they will turn him into a #2 starter in a couple of months.

Three players in the lineup with an OPS above .700 today. Woof.

Why on earth do you play the infield in there.

Yes they would.

Where was he earlier in the season, we might have won 1 or 2 more games.
One thing is that he has never quit, a lot more than I can say about a lot of guys on the roster.

I don't blame him. He looks like Moncada has the last couple of years.

I really think the disasters of birmingham/charlotte become a problem here. You move up these prospects who are used to the game being so secondary to any sort of baseball. Then when they are supplementing a struggling team it's just everyone doing "i'm just here to do some tasks" and not the game intensity that's needed...

to say the least.

Eloy has had some chances the last 2 games. Nada with RISP.
