Milkman delivers
Reiner was underrated as an actor and directed some of my favorite movies of all time. These kinds of things are shocking as you kind of picture those types of problems not really existing in wealthy/Hollywood families. It’s similar to how I felt after Gene Hackman’s death. EDIT: And I didn’t even realize he directed Stand By Me. Edited December 15 by Milkman delivers

And then you factor in the mans relationship with a guy like Mel Brooks, and the generational effect that group had on GenX is crazy.

EDIT: And I didn’t even realize he directed Stand By Me. His directorial run from Spinal tap to A Few Good Men is one for the ages. He also was instrumental in acquiring Shawshank redemption and getting it into Darabonts hands because he couldn’t direct it himself
