I am so old I remember when he was a bust.

  • I can’t get over Ohtani. He’s so far and away the best player to ever play the sport, and we’re living right in the prime of it

The calculations and metrics were apparently based on the pitcher and his location rather than the shortstop.  That was the error.

And there's damage.

In other news, Angel is still so, so bad.

Just read that Stephen Strasburg has retired. This just makes me feel old. It does not seem that long ago that they were shutting him down during a great season because he had reached his innings limit.

It's getting kind of ridiculous...

Absolute gold from Verlander.

Sitting here getting the tires rotated on the wife's Wagoneer and enjoyed listening to this one.

Urias tagged with five dismeanors...MLB future after previous DV suspension far from certain.

Closer Mason Miller of the A's just threw a 103.7 mph fastball.

Last guy to beat that number was Jhoan Duran, who is of course out injured with the Twins due to wear and tear from his size and landing his front foot.

Or Ben Joyce of the Angels/Vols.

RIP Yankee pitcher and NIU star Fritz Peterson (82). Was part of a wife-swapping scandal with Yankee Mike Kekich in 1973 and Fritz later married Suzanne Kekich. I was also told he taught billiards at NIU. Per ESPN the announcement came from NIU on Friday.

Hopefully he's alright, the pitcher injury situation is bad enough as is.

That was actually a great read by Freeland

Should have tradedhim to the Sox when they had the chance.

Jackson Holliday is probably headed back to AAA after today. Or he should. He’ll be good someday, but he’s lost.
