God we really busted out with all of our cuban post Robert signings. Sucks to not even get a single utility guy out of it.

That Yolbert signing was particularly awful…at least Cespedes had some tools to dream if it clicked

Hoping a game or two gets PPD to push back the need for a 5th starter and we get the extra year. It's really only like, 11 days.

  • Baldwin might be the shortstop in AA. Rodriguez will join Charlotte. Hes out dealing with a family matter.  Cespedes released, Tatum, Eder and Bush in AA  He wasn’t drafted with that tho

There will be so many “I told you so” on this site.  He looked great though yesterday, and it would make his starts worth watching if he can stay healthy.

By idiots mostly. Crochet may be predisposed to injury just because he throws a baseball hard no matter what role he pitches. He couldn't stay healthy as a RP. Crochet wanted to be a SP and feels good about the choice he made. Therefore so do I.

And they should have put him in in the minors to start working towards that goal.

There was no minor league baseball and then Tony La Russa insisted on having him in the 2021 bullpen.

And then Tony LaRussa insisted on having him in the 2022 bullpen, and Tony LaRussa insisted on having him in the 2023 bullpen, because there’s no way anyone else could have made that decision.

There was in 2021.

Yes.  That was a bad signing by the twin GM's.

Did anyone else have zero clue that Lucius Fox was in the Sox org until today?

I was vaguely familiar but I never gave it much thought.  They are churning rosters at every level. Probably necessary.

Most of AAA was minor league contracts, last year (as opposed to guys in the system who are under control for X years), so I think they had to sign a bunch of guys just to fill the roster, again.
