I'm really happy to see Wes Kath succeeding this year, we've seen a countless number of high school kids struggle with pro ball, get buried in the lower levels and wash out in a few years but Kath seems to have really turned a corner this year and adjusted to A+. Shows a lot of mental toughness and perseverance, hope he gets a lot of confidence from his recent performance and carries it throughout the year.

5 scoreless for Pallette, 7K and no (!!!) walks. Nice to see him getting settled in.

,220/.729

At least he's over .700, there's that.

The trick is going to be keeping his offspeed motion seamless (for example, that very first pitch) as much as possible like he's going to throw a fastball...seems he slowed down perceptibly, even though he got the strikeout.

Those big breaking 12 to 6 curve balls are pretty rare to see these days...looks like an athlete out there, like his poise (not forcing a ball to 1B that could have compounded the situation by having it go down the line.)

This would be a much more informative post with a name attached to it.

Pretty much the only hitter everyone is talking about tonight, Colson Montgomery.

First time in history someone has asked caulfield to name more names.

Looked back and last 7 games, 10/31 with 5 doubles and 2 HR .  Hopefully the start of a turnaround.

looks nasty

No walks for Eder/Pallette. Control seems to be improving across the board recently.

96 wRC+ for the league now. 33%K rate is a problem but the power is there and still walking a lot at 12.5%. Hard to say how much of the average is contact problems and how much is bad luck. Probably a bit of both but you love seeing the power the last couple weeks. Those EVs are rare from anybody, let alone a guy that will probably be a below average defensive SS or above average 3B.
