Interesting Lee comment...

To DVS of the Sun-Times tonight:

“I wish I was in charge of the lineup, that’s a question for Pedro. I’m doing whatever I can to get in the lineup.”- Korey Lee.

Bro make Korey Lee the manager

I bet he gets traded soon.

What’s he supposed to say — obviously wants to play more.

There should be nobody on this team more infuriated than Korey Lee.  He has had a very good season and is giving up playing to to the worst player in baseball.

Korey Lee is HIM

Not just the worst player in baseball... but the player having one of the worst seasons in the history of the game.

Keep batting him 9th, Pedro. ?

im sure that’s where the question came from.

Well, off to AAA with your negative vibes...have to feel for the guy, especially when he's actually hitting much better than expected but it's hard to find a consistent rhythm with the current arrangement of PT.

Eventually it seems Maldonado has to wear down in the summer heat of Chicago.

How could you tell?  He already can't hit or play defense.

On the podcast this week Chuck G. was talking about how Grifol is just being stubborn and refuses to understand that Maldonado simply isn't a good player anymore either offensively or defensively.

He played the quote about Grifol defending his decision to let him bat twice in key situations Sunday in the loss to Boston and then made his "stubborn" comments...also said it is like Grifol is "doubling or tripling" down on the fact that he's going to keep playing him.

Haha, I said this when Lee and another teammate disagreed with Grifol about the team being flat.  It is so obvious that they are discreetly clowning Grifol to the media on the down low.

Grifol is tone deaf and incompetent.

Unfortunately I don't think it's going to get better with Maldonado and Grifol's infatuation with him. Lee is pretty much playing himself into the starting catching role for next season.

Yeah, this isn't like Lopez and Sosa competing for playing time.  This is one of the best hitters on the team (and one of the better defensive catchers in the league) being sat for literally the worst player in baseball.  Lee should be catching 5 out of 7 games and batting somewhere in the middle of the lineup.

Something doesn't add up why Lee isn't getting more playing time.

Not just the worst player in baseball, but the player on pace to have one of the single worst seasons in the HISTORY of baseball.

We have terrible manager that loves veterans and likes to blame young players for all his woes.

No, that can’t be it.
