Crochet has been terrible since August. Either the Sox really are the most incompetent franchise in baseball botching his management, or possibly worse letting Crochet dictate how he’s used.

Can we shut this guy down already?

Crochet is now at 133 innings, which no one thought he would really reach without struggling/dead arm.

The Sox seem determined to get him to 150+ innings, even though his ERA will likely be in the 4’s and they will have hurt his trade value for the offseason.

This team could f*** up a wet dream.

I really don't think ERA will hurt his trade value.

I swear all the damage done against him this year has been on cutters

Modern front offices won't care because they'll use data, advanced metrics, etc.

Since the Sox are the ones selling him, we basically just remove the Rockies from the situation.

It won’t, the concern is how his body responds to throwing this many innings with no build up.

Are they deliberately putting every player in the lineup fans don't want to see at this point?

Maybe Vaughn can get to a 700 ops so we have one in that category...?

It's already damaged. Getz is the one doing the trading .  Trade is a bad word.

Never understood this.  It must be a modern era thing.

Teams probably already know this but the Sox are making it obvious that he won’t be good for 150+ innings next year.

How? Shouldn’t the idea be he could throw even more next year? More arm strength and whatnot.

His last 30 innings pitched have been awful.  He basically hit the wall at around 100 innings.

What’s not to understand? He’s never thrown innings like this, not even close. It’s about managing your multi million dollar asset. There’s no reason to risk any further injury in a season that is over.

Typically yes, for pitchers that have built up to it over a few seasons. There’s no telling how Crochet responds next season, this was a really unique situation.

Fletcher and Vargas back-to-back in your lineup.  Talk about a dead zone.

Hilarious that Romy González, whom Getz DFA’ed, would be our best hitter by far with a .770 OPS.

Great transactions by Getz!  What a loser of a GM…

Norby is so much better than Vargas

The Marlins return for Puk is so much better than what the Sox got for Kopech too.

They were big winners of the trade deadline.  Meanwhile, Getz was robbed blind.

But then we'd have missed out on Nicky Lopez

The crux of it revolves around trading him, about which we know your opinion.

$4.3 million for Little Nicky.

$740K for Romy.

I can’t wait to see what dumpster diving Getz does next offseason.

It's funny that you think Romy Gonzalez would have a .770 OPS with the White Sox.
